About
The "Packaging Research & Innovation Challenge" (PRIC) is an annual competition in Ghana, organized by Royal Crown Packaging Limited (RCPL) and the Institute of Packaging, Ghana (IOPG), in partnership with Kasapreko, Qualiplast, Access Bank, Brand Innovation, ePac, AgroFood PlastPrintPack.
The objective of PRIC is to encourage university students to develop innovative packaging solutions to address challenges in the industry. Students receive cash prizes, internships, and international recognition for their innovative designs. The top entries are submitted to the WorldStar Students Packaging Competition organized by the World Packaging Organisation.
At the awards ceremony for the 7th Edition of PRIC, scheduled for October 29, 2025, the results of the assessment by the Jury will be announced, and prizes awarded to the top three entries and special categories as follows:

- Gold Award to Overall Best
- Silver to 1st Runner up
- Bronze to 2nd Runner up
- Special Award for Packaging Design that Saves Food or reduce food loss
