Harry Wryter, Cofounder and Managing Director of HAT AgriTech Ltd, is an accomplished Finance and agribusiness professional with over 17 years of management experience, including 14 years in senior management roles across multinational organizations, non-profits, and start-ups. He holds a BSc in Agriculture Science, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Administration, an MBA in Finance, and is a certified Plant Doctor.
Harry’s areas of expertise include crop management and fertilization, pesticide resistance management, farm management, farm systems and automation, and waste conversion to earn carbon credits.
Trained in greenhouse construction, hydroponics, and vegetable production in Kenya, he has spent the past seven years designing and building tropical greenhouses, hydroponics, and aquaponics systems while developing innovative protocols for sustainable crop production.
Under his leadership, HAT AgriTech Ltd is leveraging modern technology to attract women and youth to agriculture and agribusiness while providing last-mile distribution services to improve smallholder farmers’ access to inputs and advanced agricultural technology through the "uberization" of smallholder farming project. A project that targets 10,000 farmers to boost crop yields and incomes.
HAT AgriTech Ltd, under Harry's guidance, has also championed sustainable agriculture initiatives, including converting agricultural waste into biochar (including biochar fertilizer) and wood vinegar to enhance soil fertility, reduce environmental degradation, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and explore opportunities to generate carbon credits. Harry’s vision and expertise continue to drive the company’s mission to empower farmers and advance climate-smart farming solutions.
