Abena Amponsaa Asante-Asare is a Business Development Consultant and Entrepreneur with interests in Occupational Health & Safety and Environment; Enterprise Development; and Agriculture value chain, specifically food production and processing. She manages her own business which is into the processing of local staples into snacks and treats. Currently, she works as a training consultant, business coach and facilitator for business intervention programs aimed at providing opportunities for youth employment, green entrepreneurship, business start-ups; some of which target youth, women and returning migrants from all parts of Ghana. She has over 9 years’ experience in Business Development and HSE practice and have been the Business Development Manager for the Sekondi-Takoradi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (STCCI). She has worked as a consultant for the International Labour Organisation in the SCORE (Sustaining Competitive and Responsible Enterprises) program. Her work at STCCI primarily focused on enterprise development and capacity building for small and medium local businesses. Prior experiences have been in banking and retail. She holds a Masters degree in Health, Safety and Environment from the Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia.
