A bold visionary with his boots on the ground and eyes on the future, Dan is the force behind Esoko, Africa’s leading Agritech platform connecting millions of smallholder farmers to vital information using everything from SMS to voice to call centers. When he's not transforming how rural communities engage with digital services, he's pioneering Sikafields Technologies, a groundbreaking venture in nature-based carbon credit solutions that turns fragmented farmlands into high-integrity carbon assets through innovative “Agroforestry Mosaics.”
Daniel is a systems thinker and builder at the intersection of technology, sustainability, and rural transformation in Africa. He brings a rare blend of strategic leadership, data fluency, and on-the-ground insight. Whether shaping large-scale survey infrastructure or designing carbon projects that regenerate degraded mining lands, he consistently builds ventures where profit meets purpose, and innovation meets impact.
Daniel is a fellow of the United Nations University and the Unreasonable Group, a recipient of 2020 Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship of the Year Award .
